How to reach Island Korcula
By ferry:
Ferry ports on the Korcula island: Vela Luka, Korcula, Prigradica.
1. The main line connects Vela Luka with Split in one direction and the island of Lastovo in the other. So, the car ferry goes from Split, stops in Vela Luka and goes on to Lastovo. The cruise from Split to Vela Luka takes some 3 hours.
The fast passenger catamarans has the very same route only it makes a stop in port of Hvar. This cruise from Split to Vela Luka takes about 1h45min.
2. Ferries connect the town of Korcula with Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula (15min) and Drvenik (2h30min) on the mainland (near Makarska). www.lnp.hr
3. The Adriatic long line connects Korcula with Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Rijeka and in summer there are direct ferries to Italian Adriatic ports.

By bus:
The Bus company operating here is Autotrans Rijeka. Bus ride from Dubrovnik to Vela Luka some 4h 30min. For timetable please visit www.autotrans.hr.
You can also get to Korcula island by other lines, from Split, Zagreb and other towns. There is a direct line connecting the route from Zagreb to Vela Luka, and all the towns along Korcula island. The bus is operated by Autotrans Rijeka.

Currency:
Kuna (1 Kuna = 100 Lipa). There are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 Lipa coins, 1, 2, 5 and 25 Kuna coins and 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 Kuna banknotes.
Foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, post offices and at most tourist agencies, hotels and camping grounds.
Credit cards: Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept credit cards (American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/Mastercard, Visa, Sport Card International). Cash dispensing machines are ubiquitous.

Fire prevention:
Ensure that you have done everything to prevent a fire!
Do not throw lit or flammable objects into the environment!
If you see a fire, please inform others in your proximity; report it immediately on the telephone number - 93; try to extinguish the fire till the fire-fighters arrive and in such a manner so as not to endanger yourself or others!
Take notice of signs forbidding the lighting of fires!
Take care that your parked vehicle does not obstruct accesses to the fire or roads!
