Lošinj Cuisine Festival
5th Lošinj Cuisine Festival is marked by the project „Around the World with Lošinj Sails“ whose aim is to revive and recall the historical and cultural heritage of Lošinj’s maritime tradition and its golden era from 1853 until 1884, when Mali Lošinj was known as the maritime center of the Eastern Mediterranean. Our catering facilities are also involved in the project and you will have the opportunity to taste the dishes of Lošinj Captains, prepared in a more modern way. Croatia Boat Show
For those who prefer to use boats as a means of transport and are openly passionate about sailing, the Croatia Boat Show is a must event. Year after year it attracts all local and international boat companies and builders exhibiting their products, vessels of all kinds and sizes, as well as the equipment needed by sea travelers. In addition to all the details concerning vessels and sailing available at the show, you can learn about the nautical tourism arrangements on offer. It is expected to be the most interesting nautical event in the Mediterranean.
Rijeka Carnival
A tradition reaching down the centuries to ancient times when ferocious masks, so legends tell us, banished the forces of evil through hilarious rejoicing, has turned Rijeka into the Carnival Capital of Croatia. Throughout the carnival days the city gates are firmly closed to any solemnity and soberness, and are wide open to colourful and carefree merrymaking. It will be no different this year. Once the keys of the city are handed over, the carnival revelry will sweep the streets and all those who happen to be in Rijeka. The sea of masks, which allow their wearers to forget their sorrows, at least for a moment, will spread good humour for days, while the climax of the Carnival comes on its closing day when the grand parade - known as the International Carnival Parade - makes its thunderous way across the city.
Audi FIS World Cup „Vip Snow Queen Trophy“
One of the biggest and most important sports events in Croatia – the Audi FIS Ski World Cup “Vip Snow Queen Trophy” – will take place on 4 and 6 January 2011. Once again, this time for the seventh consecutive time, Sljeme will become the centre of the skiing world. Moreover, for the first time ever, both ladies’ and men’s slalom races will be held at night, which will hype up the event and make it even more attractive. Besides the sports pleasures, the spectators will be able to enjoy concerts and entertainment programmes at Krumpirište.
New Year spear fishing championship
The best confirmation of how highly the people of Lošinj regard the spear fishing skill is the monument to a spear fisherman erected in one of the town squares. The mild Mediterranean climate the island is blessed with enables its inhabitants to provide spear fishermen with the unforgettable experience of competing just before New Year. The New Year Championship comprises two cups: New Year Cities Cup and European Nations Cup; both cups are equally attractive because each dive-in takes one’s breath away and results in loud cheering by the audience. It is an opportunity to celebrate the New Year in the company of extremely brave people and a truly sportsmanlike environment.
Istria Truffle days
No true gourmet in the world should regard her or himself as such if, at least once in their life, they have not wanted to taste truffles - the gourmet crown jewel of Istria. Truffles, these odd looking mushrooms that grow underground, are a trademark of Istria, and the folk of Istria show their gratitude by jealously guarding the recipes specific to their peninsula. Come autumn, however, the whole of Istria celebrates the Days of Truffles which provide the opportunity for all to savour the wealth of truffles in every possible combination of flavours and to learn about the wonder of truffles. Dubrovnik Summer Festival

The Summer Festival of Dubrovnik is the oldest and most famous of all the Croatian festivals. From 1956 the Festival has been building its reputation and has, by way of the prestigious Association of European Festivals, become an integral part of European integrations. Croatian shipbuilding days - DHMB
Croatian boatbuilding days are a traditional thematic event organised by and for the Croatian boat builders and nautical equipment manufacturers.
Wishing to help the efforts of Croatian „small“ boat builders and ensure better promotion and advancement of their work and development, „LiIBOR d.o.o“ as the organizer, hotel Le Meridien Lav and Marina Lav as co-organizers organized a 4 day event in Aplil 2009 called Dani hrvatske male brodogradnje – Croatian Boatbuilding Days.
This year’s edition will once again gather all relevant factors whose knowledge, influence and experience can help make Croatian boat building industry both recognizable and competitive at the demanding global market.
This year, from April 29th until May 2nd, Marina Lav at Le Meridien Lav hotel in Podstrana will be the stage for around 50 boats produced in Croatia. Entrance to the exhibition grounds is free for all visitors.

Description
All the hard work and dedication that people of Zupanja invest into preserving their priceless cultural heritage become evident during this festivity stemming from the wealth of the Slavonian tradition. Sumptously appointed horse-drawn carriages, which look as if they were taken from a museum, ride across the town with their proud coachmen dressed in most beautiful Slavonian folk costumes. Always attractive to guests regardless of where they come from, the Carnival parade is invariably accompanied by appropriate customs - brandy distilling and pig slaughtering. This year, all the colourful diversity will once again be enriched still more with folklore groups coming from other parts of Croatia and abroad.

INTERNATIONAL PERCUSSIONIST WEEK
Rhythm is in the foundation of each piece of music. Consequently, percussion instruments are most often used as a group providing a rhythmic background to soloists, but sometimes also they create the complete entity of a piece. Percussion ensembles are very dynamic and attractive, so it is no wonder the that percussion festivals are becoming increasingly commonplace and popular. One of such festivals is the International Percussionist Week in Bjelovar, hosting some of the greatest percussionists from Croatia and abroad. Gain insight to the very essence of music - the rhythm - with the help of superior artists of rhythm.

Many events for the upcoming Christmas holidays

Sponza Palace, Dubrovnik.
There are many events planned for the upcoming Christmas holidays in our city, which started on Friday, December 11th in Sponza Palace with a photo exhibition on tourism called «Dubrovnik cafés, restaurants and night clubs – former times» by Lukša Lucianović.
On Saturday at 3 p.m. in Fort Revelin, the American College held a Christmas program for children, which included a few children workshops and a raffle.
In the evening hours of the same day, the «Linđo» Folklore Ensemble held a humanitarian concert for the blind and poor-sighted in the Marin Držić Theatre.
